Summer Maternity Photos at Glenwood Gardens Park

Though my specialty is newborn portrait photography, I always remind women to not forget about their maternity photos. It might feel like you are pregnant forever (because you are pregnant for almost one whole year), but capturing that unique, one-of-a-kind time in your family history is just as important as capturing all of those tiny newborn details and your new or expanded family. Your children will not remember being in your belly, but they can look at your maternity portraits and see for themselves. An outdoor maternity photo session at a beautiful local park is the perfect setting to make you feel beautiful and glowing!

This sweet family is expecting their second baby girl! We met at Glenwood Gardens Park to capture the natural beauty of the trees and the natural beauty of this pregnant mom. This little nook off the path provided gorgeous background colors like greens and maroons that made the pink maternity gown pop!

Maternity portrait sessions include photos of the whole family, photos of the parents, photos with the children, and photos of expecting mom. The photos of the wife and the husband end up being so intimate and really showcase the love between the parents. The photos with the existing children are just as special. Sweet moments are captured with the children and the mom acknowledging the growing baby belly. And, last, but certainly not least, the photos of just the mom herself allow her beauty to shine through. I focus on flattering poses to make the mom feel gorgeous!
