Maternity Photographer in Cincinnati with Maternity Gowns

February 27, 2016

This modern maternity session took place in an urban, natural light studio - Spring Grove Studio on the West side of Cincinnati. The light coming through the windows was perfect that day. The pregnant mama brought a few outfits, so we tried many different looks. We went from modern chic styles to ethereal and dreamy styles.

Spring Grove Studio has many options for creating different looks and styles of maternity photographs. We used the Pottery Barn style bed for some photos of her lying down. The beautiful teal chair and the French Provincial couch offered poses in front of the concrete wall and the sun lit window.

This was one of my favorite photo sessions during my studio photo day because we experimented with many looks, poses, and backdrops. I am always amazed how many different types of photos and styles can be created in just one studio room. The natural light from the big windows was perfect that day! (Here are two more examples of studio maternity sessions: a classic maternity session and a more artistic maternity session.)

One of the best compliments I can get is that the client felt beautiful after looking at their photos. This pregnant mama said that she was feeling a bit down about the way she looked during the pregnancy. However, the photos reminded her of her external and internal beauty and made her appreciate the amazing work her body is doing to create new life.

Which look is your favorite from this modern maternity session? Though a bit unconventional, I really like the look of the ethereal white maternity gown against the rugged cream brick and green leather couch. The natural light is accentuates the white maternity gown and her beautiful pregnant shape.

If you love the look of Spring Grove Studio, ask me about it! The studio is available upon request.
