Relaxed Newborn Photo Session At Home

I first met the mother of this beautiful baby girl, Conor, when I photographed her maternity session in an open, sunny field in Blue Ash, Ohio. We clicked instantly and had a great time capturing her pregnancy. She invited me back into her home to photograph her beautiful newborn baby girl. The original floors in her home were the perfect backdrop for the soft and girly props and wraps I put together. They captured the uniqueness of this little family perfectly. We started the session off with posed shots of the newborn in a variety of props. We incorporated Conor's dad's red flannel shirt in some of the photos. I love it when clients add their own special touch to make the photos even more meaningful.

We continued with some photos in the nursery - photos of the newborn baby in the crib. We finished off with some casual, lifestyle photos of the mother holding her newborn baby girl. Conor was so snuggly and sleepy and fit perfectly into her mother's arms. I love the soft and casual photos of the photos and how well they capture the love between a mom and her newborn daughter.

The color scheme was simple and unobtrusive, just like this little family. Neutral color schemes allow all of the focus to be on the baby.

Newborn session can range from more posed photos to more casual photos, or even a mix of both. I customize sessions to each client and each family to capture their personality and document their family with photographs they can look back on for the rest of their lives.
