Artistic Studio Maternity Session In Studio

This artistic studio maternity session was inspired by silhouettes in front of a large, natural light window. I really wanted to make some silhouette photos in front of a window and this pregnant mama was definitely up for it! She was easy going about trying out new poses and we had a good time capturing her pregnancy. She chose two great outfits: a bold apricot colored shirt and a classic maxi dress.

The classic and vintage look of the Treasured Moments Studio allowed us to capture different looks and styles during this maternity photo session. We started off in front of the large window to get some profile and silhouette photos. Then, we continued with more classic photos on the French Provincial chair. Finally, we ended up with some sweet photos by the white bed and the window. The photo session ended up being artistic, classic, and beautiful. For each maternity session, I like to personalize the session to tell each client's story and to capture their personality and uniqueness. Once in a while, I like to try new things like new lighting techniques with a bright natural light window in a studio or new poses on luxurious French Provincial chairs. Either way, the client is left with beautiful photos to capture a special time in their life.

This pregnant mama was a great model and worked well with me to try out new lighting techniques and poses. I look toward photographing her newborn session.
